Call Forwarding: Lets you transfer your incoming calls to any telephone number. Long distance charges may apply if to a long distance number.

How to use it:

  • Dial 72# and listen for dial tone. (On a rotary phone dial 72 and wait 5 seconds for dial tone.)
  • Dial the number that will be accepting your calls.
  • Listen for two short tones. When the party answers, Call Forwarding is in effect.
  • If line is busy or no one answers, hang up and then repeat steps from above. On second attempt, no answer is required

To cancel Call Forwarding: Dial 73# (On a rotary phone dial 73) and wait for two beeps and a dial tone.

Note: When your calls are being forwarded, your telephone will ring briefly each time your number is dialed. You cannot answer the calls, but the ring is a reminder that Call Forwarding is still in effect. While calls are being forwarded you can still make outgoing calls. If you forward your calls to any number outisde your local calling area, you will be charged for any calls forwarded from your number to the distant number.


Call Waiting: Lets you know someone else is calling when you're using the telephone.

How to use it:

  • If you hear a beep and want to end the first call, hang up. Your telephone will immediately ring with the second call.
  • To answer second call, press and release receiver button for half a second. First call will be put on hold and you will be connected to second call.
  • To return to first call, press and release receiver button again. You can switch back and forth between two calls as often as you want.

To Temporarily cancel Call Waiting before making a call: Listen for a dial tone. Dial *70 (on a rotary phone dial 1170). Listen for a second dial tone. Dial the number you wish to reach.

To temporarily cancel Call Waiting while a call is in progress (requires subscription to flat-rate Three-Way calling): Press receiver button for a half-second to put call on hold. Listen for a dial tone. Dial *70 (on a rotary phone dial 1170). Press receiver button for half a second to return to original call.

Note: You must already subscribe to Three-Way calling to use this option if it is available in your area.
You cannot cancel Call Waiting while a call is in progress and a Third Party is trying to reach you.
Call waiting is automatically reactivated when you hang up.


Three-way Calling: Lets you add a third party to your existing conversation. Can be used whether you have received or placed the first call.

How to use it:

  • Press and release receiver button to put your first call on hold. You will hear three beeps, then a dial tone.
  • Dial third person's number. You can talk before adding original caller.
  • To begin three-way calling press and release receiver button. All three parties will be on line.

Note:If the original party hangs up, you can add another third party by repeating steps above.
To disconnect the third party, press the receiver button twice. You may then add a different third party
All parties are disconnected when you hang up.


Speed Calling (8 numbers): Lets you call frequently called numbers by dialing only one or two digits. Available in either 8 or 30 number capacities. Numbers can be either local or long distance.

To enter or change Speed Calling number:

  • Select a one-digit code (2 through 9).
  • Dial 74# (On rotary phones dial 74). Listen for dial tone.
  • Dial code you have selected and complete telephone number it will represent (example: 2-1-800-555-1212). Two beeps confirm your entry.
  • To call numbers selected for Speed Dialing, simply dial one-or two-digit code (if you have Touch-tone, add # symbol when you dial code).

Note: You must keep a list of your Speed Calling numbers.


Speed Calling (30 numbers): Lets you call frequently called numbers by dialing only one or two digits. Available in either 8 or 30 number capacities. Numbers can be either local or long distance.

To enter or change Speed Calling number:

  • Select a two-digit code (20 through 49).
  • Dial 75# (On rotary phones dial 75). Listen for dial tone.
  • Dial code you have selected and complete telephone number it will represent (example: 22-1-800-555-1212). Two beeps confirm your entry.
  • To call numbers selected for Speed Dialing, simply dial two-digit code (if you have Touch-tone, add # symbol when you dial code).
